LANDSCAPE & NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS MID WALES
BLUEBELL PHOTOGRAPHY IN GAER FAWR WOODLAND, Guilsfield, POWYS
Welcome to this beautiful and relatively unknown corner of Powys in Mid Wales. This has been home for me for the past 24 years, and I am grateful to have been one of only a few landscape photographers to visit this area since I picked up the camera and began creating photographs back in 2018.
I am delighted to invite you for a walk with me through the bluebells this spring as I have set up my very first bluebell photography workshop on the evening of Saturday 4th May 2024. This will be a chance for you to immerse yourself in a beautifully rich and vibrant woodland environment, with the sounds of birdsong keeping you company, and the warmth of the evening sunlight on your skin, all whilst gaining exciting and inspiring new knowledge from myself that will help you to take your photography and storytelling to the next level.
-
You will be learning about some of the more advanced elements of photography such as composition and how to utilise the available light in photography.
You will have a better understanding of the exposure triangle as we simplify aperture, shutter speed and ISO in a fun and practical way.
You will learn how to combine the camera settings for different creative effects.
There will be some photography challenges throughout the morning which will see you navigating a range of problems to get your shots.
You will learn about storytelling in photography, and better understand how to arrange the elements within a woodland to better tell your story.

A sense of community. We all need that at the moment, don’t we? The last couple of years have been tough. What could be better than a relaxing, meditative walk in nature with likeminded people, sharing stories and creating beautiful photographs?
You will receive an invitation to my exclusive, closed group on Facebook where you can continue your learning and network with other likeminded photographers.
Increase your knowledge of and familiarity with your camera and learn some of the basics that will allow you to go out and create a photograph.
Photography can be so much more than just a hobby. For me, it has been a form of therapy, it’s increased my level of self-awareness and helped me to connect to this planet that I call my home. I hope that by attending a photography workshop with me, you might be tempted to walk along a similar path and continue with your learning.
